Tandem Skydive Experience - Experience Gifts Description

It's like parachuting without all the training. After a short safety briefing, fly to an exhilarating 10-12,000 feet and leap into a 5,000 feet free fall strapped to your British Parachute Association tandem instructor who will control the whole descent, including the parachute opening and the landing. All the thrill without all the drill.

This course takes a part day only and starts with a safety briefing session
One jump from approx 10-12,000 feet with a fully qualified instructor using a dual-control tandem parachute
Provisional BPA membership

What happens on the day:
When you arrive, you will be enrolled as a provisional member of the British Parachute Association and issued with the appropriate equipment. You will be given a safety briefing, practice some techniques required for your jump, and then take your tandem skydive from approx. 10-12,000 feet safely strapped to a BPA Tandem Instructor.

If you wish to stay overnight, many parachuting clubs can offer inexpensive (but basic!) accommodation (this is not covered by your voucher). If you are interested you should enquire about this when you make your booking.

Need to know:

Minimum age 16 (under 18 years old need parental/guardian consent), max age 50 unless very fit (participants over 40 require a doctor's certificate of fitness).
Your weight must be in proportion to height. Max weight 13-15 stones (83kgs-95kgs) depending on location. All weights must include clothes and shoes.
A number of physical conditions or previous illnesses may prevent you from skydiving.
You will be required to sign a Declaration of Fitness form. If you are in doubt, please ring the Virgin Experience Days helpline for guidance
