This is probably the most unique gift ever! Yes, the ultimate property is up for sale, and it's one you can show off to all your friends, because all they have to do is look up (preferably with a telescope!). This may seem like a joke, but it's 100% true - you can own a whole acre of the Moon Land.

In the 1980's an American citizen made a claim to the moon after carefully studying the relevant space treaties. He has been selling plots of land since he made his claim, and now you get the opportunity to become an owner too!

Contents held within the Moon Estates gift pack:
  • Parchment Deed for one acre plot of land on the Moon on the nearside of the moon.
  • Plot Map showing the location of your acre.
  • Illustrated Solar System Book.
  • Mineral Rights.
  • Welcome Letter.
  • Postage paid registration card - to register your name as the owner of this extra terrestrial land.
  • Comes within a gift box
  • Royalties from the sale of this product help fund and support the Science Museum, London
The moon is a symbol of hope, romance, achievement and change, all rolled into one! There is nothing more symbolic and romantic on earth one can give to a loved one. It is no a fad we can toy with, it is not something that will ever lose it's appeal. When you buy your property on the Moon, please enjoy it, because that is what this really is all about.

Other interesting Information
  • Footprints left on the Moon by Apollo astronauts will remain visible for at least 10 million years because there is no erosion on the Moon.
  • The moon is the only natural satelitte of the Earth.
  • Most of the craters on the near side are named after famous figures in the history of science such as Tycho, Copernicus and Ptolemaeus
  • Features on the far side of the moon have more modern references such as Apollo, Gargarin and Korolev.

LOVED IT
Having bought this as a gift for a 21 year old lad, who was quite difficult to buy for, I was a bit worried as to his reaction. I should not have been - he loved it! Now he has something he can look abck on in years to come and say "that was a 21st birthday gift". Excellent.
