Parachute Jump Experience - Experience Gifts Description

Nothing can beat the exhilaration you feel after your first leap from a plane at 3,000 feet. This is one of the most challenging sports ever invented! Supervised by British Parachuting Association instructors, your ground training is rigorous and you must be fit. Jump from the plane on a "static line" that opens your steerable parachute automatically, freeing you to enjoy your breathtaking descent.

This course is usually runs over 2 days and includes fitness testing followed by intensive parachuting and landing training by a BPA instructor as part of a small group

What happens on the day:
Usually run over 2 days, with intensive parachute and landing training, as part of a small group.

When you arrive, you will be enrolled as a provisional member of the British Parachute Association and issued with the appropriate equipment. The first day will consist of ground training which is a mixture of practical and theory. Your static-line jump will usually take place on the second day.

If you wish to stay overnight, many parachuting clubs can offer inexpensive (but basic!) accommodation (this is not covered by your voucher). If you are interested you should enquire about this when you make your booking.

Need to know:

Minimum age 16 (under 18’s need parental/guardian consent), max age 50 unless very fit (participants over 40 require a doctor's certificate of fitness).
Your weight must be in proportion to height: Males - max 6'2" (188cms) and 14-15 stones (89kgs-95kgs) depending on location, Females - max 5'9" (175cms) and 12-14 stones (76kgs-89kgs) depending on location. All weights must include clothes and shoes.
