Military Driving Experience Description

Put on your tin hat, settle into the driving seat of an Abbott tracked gun, an Armoured Personnel Carrier or a six-wheeled Stalwart, and get ready to learn a totally new skill. Very entertaining and surprisingly challenging, military vehicles are a driving experience that everyone should try.

• Training from an experienced instructor
• As part of a small group you will be given a safety briefing followed by driving experience in up to three different military vehicles
• Allow 2-3 hours for your visit
• Experience gift box including smart wallet, personalised voucher, message card and single use camera
• PA cover to a value of £50,000 plus cancellation indemnity

What happens on the day:
When you arrive, you will normally be asked to sign an indemnity form which will also require parental/guardian signature for under 18's. Your session will usually be shared with other drivers. You will be given an initial briefing, followed by detailed training from an experienced instructor before being allowed to drive the vehicles yourself under his/her guidance (once you are judged to be safe enough).

Need to know:

• Minimum age 16-18 depending on location (under 18’s need parental/guardian consent)
• You should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb into the vehicles which can be high and awkward to enter.
• Driving license preferred but not essential – driving experience needed.
• Minimum height 4’8”-5’ (142cms-152cms) depending on location, max height 6’4” (193cms).
• Maximum weight 18 stones (114kgs)
• Seasonal winter closures may apply
