Galileo Thermometer Multi-Coloured 62cm Description
This traditional large galileo thermometer stands at 62cm tall. A beautiful gift thermometer with 11 multi coloured temperature reading globes.
Contains 11 internal temperature globes with temperature reading tags( picture shows 5) Tags are gold coloured and read temperatures between 17-27C.
These Traditional large Galileo's are top quality and not to be confused with cheaper imitations which are usually made from plastic or low quality glass. Our quality glass large galileo thermometers are made from hand selected blown glass in Germany, they really do make a perfect gift that will be admired and also double as a useful room temperature gauge- certainly not another dust collector.

History of the galileo thermometer
The physicist Galilio Galilei (1564-1642) discovered that density of liquid changes according to temperature. This principle is used within the Galileo Thermometer, Depending on the temperature, the glass bulbs in the thermometer either rise or fall. The actual temperature is shown by the lowest of the upper floating glass coloured bulbs.

PERFECT GIFT
I bought the 62cm Galileo Thermometer as a house warming present for my daughter''s new home. She and her partner love it, as it sits perfectly in an alcove in their stairwell. The alcove has a downlighting halogen lamp which which picks out the multicoloured temperature globes and makes a real talking point.
