This Galileo thermometer 34cm is a truly beautiful thermometer with multi coloured temperature reading balls.
Contains 5 internal temperature globes with temperature reading tags( picture shows 5) Tags are gold coloured and read temperatures between 18-26C.
History of the Galileo
The physicist Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) discovered that density of liquid changes according to temperature. This principle is used within the Galileo Thermometer, Depending on the temperature, the glass bulbs in the thermometer either rise or fall. The actual temperature is shown by the lowest of the upper floating glass coloured bulbs.
These Traditional Galileo's are top quality and not to be confused with cheaper imitations. Made from blown glass in Germany they really do make a perfect gift that will be admired- certainly not another dust collector.

I have owned this thermometer for over 6 years now and it is as good looking as the day I bought it.
The themometer has been greatly admired, and been an interesting topic of conversation by visitors to our home, I have actually bought them in different sizes for several of my friends and family members, and have just
'treated' myself to the 'big brother.'
The best thing about the Galileo (apart from it's looks) is that it is amazingly accurate!

OVER THE MOON
My daughter bought me one for as a replacement after my grandson broke my previous one (not one of yours). I told her I didn't really want one as I wasn't impressed with the way it worked. However I am over the moon with this one, it takes pride of place standing high on the mantlepiece and works perfect, giving the same temperature as our digital central heating room thermostat. A good purchase.
