Adopt a snow leopard
It is estimated that Alcu and Bagira were born in October 2001. They were just 6 months old when they were taken from the wild by traders, who held them captive in appalling conditions, whilst they tried to find a buyer for them. Thankfully they were rescued and taken to a sanctuary in the Issyk-Kul Biosphere Reserve, in their native home Kyrgyzstan.
By supporting this adoption programme, you can help to provide the long-term care they now rely on. You will also help to fund a dedicated anti-poaching team who protect snow leopards in the wild.

Adopt an Elephant
Burra was born in June 2000. At 8 months old he was found trapped by a snare; the steel cable around his neck had almost cut one ear in half. Luckily rangers removed the snare and Burra was taken to the stockades in Tsavo East National Park to receive veterinary care. His keepers were worried that he would be unable to swallow milk as his throat had been so badly constricted.
However, after several hours' persuasion, Burra managed to feed. Burra has now recovered and lives with the older orphans in Tsavo National Park. He has a very calm temperament, often discouraging fights between the other elephants.

Adopt a tiger
Jasper was born in October 1998. He is an Indo-Chinese tiger and he weighed just 3kg when he was confiscated from smugglers in Cambodia.
When first confiscated Jasper already had signs of calcium and vitamin D deficiency, which results in poor bone development and the bowing of the legs. But with medical attention and dedicated care he is now very fit and healthy. He lives in a large natural habitat enclosure near Phnom Penh.

Adopt a Dolphin
Stardance is a lively male bottlenose dolphin, living in Scotland’s Moray Firth. In common with dolphins worldwide he faces a multitude of threats including marine pollution, fisheries by catch and noise disturbance, all of which severely affect the well-being and survival of individuals.

Adopt a Badger
Badgers are probably one of the best-loved British mammals. They are shy nocturnal animals which share our countryside, although many of us have never even seen one. Sadly, our ever increasing need for housing and transport constantly threatens their habitat and ultimately their lives.
Thousands are killed every year on our roads. Others fall victim to cruel badger baiters and now the government are killing thousands more as part of an experiment investigating the causes of TB in cattle. Whatever the persecution, when mothers are killed, their defenceless cubs are left with little hope of survival… …That is unless they are taken into the expert care of Pauline Kidner at the Secret World sanctuary in Somerset. Pauline raises countless orphaned cubs every year.
